I started selling tow trucks in 1985 for Sunbelt Equipment located in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1992 I started Todd Equipment Inc. as a Jerr-Dan distributor in a small automotive mall in Mesa, Arizona with one other person. It was small, with two offices and one bay to park one truck inside.

In 1994 we moved across the street to a larger location, still just two offices but a parts counter and a two bay shop. This is when we started the parts and service departments so our customers would no longer have to rely on sub contractors to build or repair their trucks, or wait for their parts and accessories.

In 1996 due to increasing sales we outgrew our facility and purchased a new location in Tempe, Arizona. This one had three offices, a separate parts building and work station to build or service six trucks at the same time. Tempe was home for us until 2005 when the city of Tempe needed to widen the road in front of the property. The final result was one less entrance and the loss of our parking. In 2006 we purchased our present facility 3435 East Elwood in Phoenix Arizona. There are now twelve others working with me to make up the best team we have ever had at Todd Equipment.

We are Arizona's largest and oldest towing equipment distributor and for the last ten years we have been one of Jerr-Dans top ten distributors in the world. We are not a large truck dealer that sells dump trucks and various other types of equipment and vehicles. We only sell and service tow trucks and have the largest inventory of towing equipment parts and accessories in Arizona.
